shared sister room update

So excited to finally share all the details of the girls' shared room. Jules was outgrowing her toddler bed so we decided it was time to upgrade. I really love the classic look of the Jenny Lind style so I decided to stick with it and got her the full version of her toddler bed from Target, yup Target. (I tried to link it but it looks like they are all out of the white version. link below)  With Jules in a big girl bed, this meant that my little, 18 month old, Kourtney, was upgrading from her crib (which she hated) to the toddler bed (which she also hates)! We will talk about that another time ha. Anyways, their room theme has always been white with pops of color, seen here, & I really wanted to stick to that because I am the worst when it comes to home decor. I get bored so easily and have this habit of changing things around, way too often, so keeping it this way allows me to easily change their pillow cases, add a new throw and bam... a totally new look! I first started with my favorite piece of the room, the rug! I knew I wanted a fun new one and instantly fell in love with this one from Rugs USA! We got it in the 5X7 size and it was perfect for the room . How pretty right? (heres something similar)  I loved everything about it and knew that the bright colors would be the perfect addition to the room. I pulled colors from it and added fun pops to the room with pillows and new art pieces. The best part of the room is that other than the full bed/bedding and a few accent pieces I was able to use lots of pieces we already had! Hope you love it as much as us girls do!

The girls favorite piece of the room, is their kitchen. We DIY'd this Ikea one for Jules' second Christmas. They love this thing and can play here all day if I let them. They like to do picnics on the rug with all their, always naked,  dollies and Jules makes the best coffee.

We went strawberry picking a few weeks ago, read more here, and I fell in love with this picture. I knew I needed it blown up and in their room asap! I got it printed through the Kodak website, the quality is so good and he shipping was super quick! To go with the strawberry picking theme I ordered this fruit basket from Amazon. It made the cutest holder for their girly accessories.
