It's no secret that I am obsessed with holidays. I used to think I loved them until I had my very own kids, that is when I realized I really really loved them. There is something so special about watching all this magic through your kids eyes. I love making special memories like those and I try my best to give my kids the most obnoxious, over the top, holidays that they will remember forever. I don't know if it's a girl thing but Jules is always talking about how cute our holiday decorations are, what rooms we must decorate and what the color scheme should be. She is just making all my girl mom dreams come true left and right. On Thanksgiving I asked her what she was thankful for and she told me she was thankful for me! ME! She said she loved how I cleaned her room, how I love her, how I gave her the best birthday party with the best decorations and how I love "hodidays" like her. I cried, then realized that what Jason and my family think is crazy isn't that crazy after all and a little more festiveness was necessary!
We have been playing holiday music in our house all day long since early November. Yup, I'm one of those. Anyways, we were dancing and singing "I'm dreaming of a white christmas", when Jules looked at me and said, "well, mommy I'm dreaming of a pink christmas." It was the cutest ever! I scooped her up and told her she was the cutest little thing. She looked and me and said "but mommy, I'm not little, I'm a bi dirl and I really do want a pink christmas"! That's when I decided I was going to give her the girliest christmas ever and the first place I was going to start was with our annual North Pole breakfast that our elf brings. The look on my girls faces that morning was priceless, especially when Jules screamed "Strawberry elf knew I was dreaming of a pink christmas"! I LIVE for things like this, the over the top, crazy holiday decor, staying up late thinking of where to put our elf, seeing my kids so happy, this is what makes my mommy heart overflow. Kourtney was a little confused and kept staring at me and Jules as we were screaming and jumping up and down, until she realized that she could eat powdered donuts for breakfast, then she joined in on the fun! We will have her holiday obsessed in no time.
